English Translation:
Thank you, Bonga,
Thank you, Chihwa, my cherished Serval,
Graceful wild cat moving silently through the tall savannah grass,
Blessed with alert ears that catch the rustle of a falling leaf.
Who rely on honest skill and never take what belongs to another,
Who revere the spotted serval of the plains,
Praise to the families of Mhondoro and Chikomba,
Whose bright eyes shine through the night!
Hail, Chihwa,
Gratitude to you, Bonga,
It is accomplished, noble Mawere!
