Why Learn Shona?
ChiShona is spoken by more than 10 million people in Zimbabwe and around the world. Toddlers pick up the sounds of a language most easily, so we start early.
🥪 The sandwich
Every word plays Shona → English → Shona. Children hear the Shona word twice and learn what it means, without having to read anything.
🌱 No wrong answers
Games never say "wrong". A gentle wobble, the word again, and another try. Confidence comes first.
🔁 Little and often
Short sessions, with words coming back across topics. That's how toddlers remember.
🗣️ About the voice
The voice you hear today is a computer voice. We are recording native Shona speakers, and each real recording replaces the computer voice for that word.
