Thank you, clan of Guruve, Thank you, people of Chivi and Masvingo, Thank you, VaMurambwi, seated upon the granite heights of Njanja, Whose lineage is renowned across the land for fearless courage, Whose jaws bite through bone without need of an axe. Praise to you, Gurundoro, Hunters who never return from the savanna empty-handed, Who feast upon the choice game of the wilderness, Who never scavenge what another has brought down, Beast that rests upon the sunlit granite rock. Indeed, your noble deeds are seen, offspring of Mhazi, Acknowledged are the elders of Dande and Mazowe, Gratitude to those along the valleys of the Zambezi, Rulers of the ancient white granite kopjes, We thank you, great and noble Lion!
