🇬🇧 English Translation
Thank you, Soko, Thank you, Mukanya, Keepers of the sacred medicine horn enshrined atop the holy mountain, Who saved the people and cattle during ancient famines, Heirs of Mbiru and the great spiritual prophet Chaminuka. Gratitude to the agile tree climbers, Who refuse to soil their feet in unworthy mud, Who harvest the perennial river reeds that never run dry, Whose lively tails celebrate the peaceful joy of the homestead, Dwellers among the granite boulders who possess the deepest forest wisdom. Thank you, guardians of the great council in Chitungwiza, Thank you, clan of Hwedza and Murehwa, Descendants of Chaminuka who intercede for life-giving rain, Who provoke no quarrel yet defend their kin with cunning intelligence, Who share the sweet wild fruits of the forest with all travelers. Praise to you, Kumene, It is accomplished, noble Wafawanaka, Recognized are the families of Chinamhora, We thank you, faithful Soko!
