Long, long ago, Hen and Hawk lived in peace as friendly neighbors who gladly lent tools to one another.

One day, Hen borrowed a shiny iron needle from Hawk to mend the feathers of her little chicks.

After sewing, Hen tucked the needle carelessly under her wing, and while she dust-bathed in the yard, it slipped into the grass and vanished!

When Hawk arrived to collect his needle, Hen was speechless and scratched frantically in the soil without finding it.

Gondo akatsamwa zvikuru akati, "Kubva nhasi ndichagarotora nhiyo dzako kusvikira wandipa tsono yangu!"

Hawk grew stern and declared, "From this day forth, I shall swoop down for your chicks until you return my needle!"

Kusvikira nhasi Huku anoparura ivhu mazuva ose achitsvaga tsono iya. Ndipo pakafira sarungano. Chidzidzo: Chengetedza zvawakakwereta!

To this very day, Hen scratches the ground from dawn to dusk still looking for that lost needle. Moral: Always care for what you borrow!
